By car: take the A590 Kendal to Barrow Road. At the Witherslack turnoff, turn right through village and follow road for 1.5 miles. Moss Howe Farm is signposted on the left.
The campsite at Moss House Farm is near Witherslack in the beautiful Winster Valley. Close to Windermere but a country mile away from anywhere. It’s an idyllic, secluded location with a real "away from it all" feel. With stunning views, on site farm shop and the fantastic Derby Arms a short walk away, this is a perfect location for your Lake District holiday.
The site offers the perfect base for an array of activities and excursions. Whether it’s stand up paddle boarding on Windermere, following the sculpture trail at Grizedale, swimming at Fell Foot Park, a gentle walk up the glorious Whitbarrow Scar or just sitting back at the site relaxing, there is something here for everyone.
Long Valley Yurts at Moss House Farm offer 4 luxury 18ft yurts for up to 6 people (March to November).
Furnished with a distinctly Moroccan feel with thick woolen rugs, bright colourful throws, twinkling fairy lights, solar lighting and large skylight lanterns, our Yurts are cosy, comfortable and definitely different. Scandinavian wood fired hot tub available to book.
Our Yurt Facilities
Each yurt has it's own uniquely Moroccan feel. You can also expect the following facilities;
Drinking water is available from a tap within a short walk. Each yurt comes fully equipped with its own water carrier. Male and female shower blocks and toilet facilities also only a short walk.
