By car: take the A591 from Keswick towards Carlisle. At Chapel Bridge (first sign for Bassenthwaite village), turn into the village, go through and follow road for Orthwaite. Bear right after about 0.5 miles at signs for Kestrel Lodge.
Kestrel Lodge Campsite has stunning views and is a short drive from Keswick. A quiet, family friendly campsite situated in a quieter corner of the National Park.
With a great pub within walking distance and superb scenery, its the perfect location for your Lake District glamping holiday.
Located just below Skiddaw in amongst the splendour of the quieter Northern Fells and some of the best fell walking routes the Lake District has to offer.
Long Valley Yurts at Kestrel Lodge Campsite offer 3 luxury 18ft yurts for up to 6 people (March to November).
Furnished with a distinctly Moroccan feel with thick woollen rugs, bright colourful throws, twinkling fairy lights, solar lighting and large skylight lanterns, our Yurts are cosy, comfortable and definitely different.
Our Yurt Facilities
Each yurt has it's own uniquely Moroccan feel. You can also expect the following facilities;
Drinking water is available from a tap within a short walk. Each yurt comes fully equipped with its own water carrier. Male and female shower blocks and toilet facilities also only a short walk.
