Just 4 miles from Keswick town centre, Threlkeld Village Hall Camping Barn is ideally located for groups to explore the Lake District, enjoying the spectacular mountain setting.
Threlkeld Village Hall is ideal for use as a camping barn for overnight stays, and has been used in this way by youth, school, college and university groups, and Scout and Guide groups over many years.
Located just off the A66, 15 minutes from the M6 at Penrith, Threlkeld is easily accessed from most parts of the country.
Set below the mighty Blencathra, with Skiddaw, Derwentwater and Keswick all within an easy walk, the Hall is in a superb location; providing high quality accommodation and facilities in the heart of the northern Lake District, where the weather is not always ideal for stays under canvas.
The completely revitalised Village Hall is warmed by underfloor heating; there are modern toilets and showers, and a well equipped kitchen (including cooker; grill; microwave; water boiler; fridge; freezer; dishwasher, crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils etc). The Main Hall is approximately 15m x 7m and can accommodate up to 50 people, although smaller groups are more usual. FREE Wi-Fi available. Tables and chairs are supplied but camping beds and equipment are NOT provided.
There are separate men’s, women’s and disabled toilets, all equipped with showers. Between 10.00pm and 8.00am, these are usually for exclusive use of campers.
