Syke Farm Camping is a small family run, quiet campsite situated in Buttermere village. Surrounded by mountains and lake, this camp site is a spectacular location for exploring this beautiful area of the Lake District.
The topography of Syke Farm Campsite gives a little extra privacy even on the busiest times to enjoy the Lake District scenery.
Our campsite is popular for its 'GOOD OLD-FASHIONED CAMPSITE' feel, however its comfortable at the same time.
Our recently renovated toilet block now offers a fresh new design with a hint of luxury, including larger shower cubicles, hot water and heating.
Situated just outside the village, but only a 3 minute walk to the Bridge Inn and the Fish Hotel, both excellent pubs offering good grub and excellent beer. There is also an excellent tea shop close by, and a bus stop for local transport.
Buttermere Lake and Crummock Water are only a short walk away, with some fabulous walking on your doorstep, including Red Pike, Grasmoor, Robinson and Haystacks (Wainwright's favourite fell).
WE ARE DOG FRIENDLY.
