Take J41 of M6 motorway, follow the B5305 toward Wigton. After 7 miles, at a sharp kink in the road, turn left on road signposted Hesket Newmarket. Follow through the hamlet of Millhouse and after 1 mile, into Hesket Newmarket. We are just past the junction as you enter the village, on the left.

Howbeck Lodge Farm is a small, quiet farm touring caravan / camper van site in Hesket Newmarket, just south of Caldbeck. in the quieter Northern Fells area of the Lake District.
Overlooked by High Pike and Carrock Fell, with stunning views towards the Caldbeck Fells, this site is a wonderful location for exploring the Lake District.
We have a working farm with a site for 5 touring caravans or motorhomes.
Several excellent eating places are located in both Hesket Newmarket and Caldbeck. We are ideally situated for exploring Carrock Fell, High Pike and the Northern Fells of the Lake District.
Skiddaw and Blencathra are within striking range from here, as well as the well known tourist areas of Keswick and Bassenthwaite.
We are also close to the C2C cycle route and the Cumbria Way.
Ullswater is easily accessed from here and offers watersports including sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, and rowing. There's also a regular launch service between Pooley Bridge, Howtown and Glenridding.
The historic border city of Carlisle, as well as the Eden Valley and Hadrian's Wall are all a short drive away.
WE ARE DOG FRIENDLY but must on a lead at all times as we are a working farm.
