Leave the M6 motorway at J42 and travel approx 5 miles taking the B5299 out of Dalston heading south towards Welton. Shortly after leaving Dalston there is a left hand turn, the road straightens and leads to a right hand turn. Just on the sharp right bend take the road signposted Rose Castle and Raughton Head.

Thornfield Camping Cabins are set in a picturesque rural setting between the border city of Carlisle and Caldbeck on the edge of the Lake District National Park in close proximity to the Northern Fells.
Our camping cabins provide high quality, affordable and warm year-round self catering accommodation with home from home comforts, in a tranquil rural setting. A real back to nature holiday experience surrounded by woodlands, walks, a range of wildlife and extensive rural views.
There are 4 luxury en-suite camping cabins (with the option to add a hot tub)
There are 4 luxury en-suite camping cabins / pods available sleeping 4 people each. All pods have an additional option of a hot tub. We welcome well behaved dogs.
